Other Local U3As
Ambleside and District U3A in the Central Lake District. Members live in the Langdale Valley, Ambleside, Grasmere, Staveley, Hawkshead, Windermere, Bowness-on-Windermere, Kendal and other local areas.
Carlisle and District U3A covering the Carlisle district, including its surrounding villages and small towns. The catchment area lies within a 15 mile radius of Carlisle although they have members from further afield.
Penrith and North Lakes U3A was initiated in 1996 at the Ullswater Community College, and now has over 450 members.
South Lakes U3A based in Kendal, Cumbria, UK, just outside the Lake District National Park. Most activities take place in various locations in the town or surrounding villages.
