8 members arrived for the Evening Walk on 8 May 08, a warm, sunny and somewhat hazy evening.

After following the canal to Bolton-le-Sands we went up through the woods and along the narrow track to Hawksheads and on almost to the M6. Turning left we passed through a wood, visited the highland cattle and crossed over the string of metal stiles to get a good view of the setting sun over the Bay. A walk back down to the canal and along the towpath finished off a very enjoyable evening with a group including several new walkers.
